Welcome to the EAA Chapter 506 website.

506 is a Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.  Our meetings are held in the Clubhouse at the Johnston County Airport in Smithfield, North Carolina.  We currently have around 50 members and we welcome anyone who may be interested in aviation to join us.

Regular Monthly Meetings

New section

If you look at the top menu, you'll see there is a new section to the site called Eagle Flights.  These are the free introductory flights to adults interested in aviation and becoming a pilot.  Tom Slater will be coordinating this.

 Kudos

The EAA 506 website received recognition from visiting EAA HQ staff during the visit on 15 January 2013 as a good example for the 1,000 other chapters.

The EAA 506 site has a fairly comprehensive listing of events and fly-ins to be found in a 200 mile radius around JNX if you click on the menu item to the left called Local Aviation Events.
