Welcome to the Chapter 506 Web Site

506 is a Chapter of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). Our meetings are held in the Clubhouse at the Johnston County Airport in Smithfield, North Carolina. We currently have around 50 members and we welcome anyone who may be interested in aviation to apply for membership.

Applying for Membership

To apply for membership you do not have to:

own an airplane
be in the process of building an airplane
have a Pilot's License

However you must:

have a genuine interest in aviation

If you are interested in applying for membership or you have any more questions regarding the chapter, please feel free to contact Ron or Nancy Normark at 919-876-2468. Alternatively, you may directly apply for membership by printing the EAA 506 Membership Form. Simply fill out the form, enclose it in an envelope with a check or money order for the anual dues ($24), and mail it to:

Upcoming Meetings

Regular meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 AM.
